Howard Stern, king of shock-jocks, was one of the first on the radio to discover that controversy sells. Through his broadcast, The Howard Stern Show,  Stern is able to make light of serious issues, and poke fun at famous figures in a satirical fashion that has millions of listeners tuning in and coming back for more. He has won Billboard’s Nationally Syndicated Air Personality of the Year award eight times, and is one of the highest-paid figures on air.  Eager to expand outside of the radio world, Stern describes himself as the “King of All Media”, in reference to his extracurricular ventures including late-night talk shows, books, and feature films. Seeing how the veteran shock-jock renewed his contract with SiriusXM Radio through 2015, it seems likely that this Brand Champion will continue to push the envelope for years to come.
